Terms of Service

EventMatched is operated by Merkenberg (KVK 82826218), a sole proprietorship based in the Netherlands. By using EventMatched — as an organizer or as a participant registering through an event link — you agree to these terms.

The service

EventMatched lets organizers run in-person matchmaking events: setting up rounds, generating pairings or groups, and letting participants privately express interest in a match. We provide the software; the organizer is responsible for the event itself — its safety, its venue, who they invite, and how they run it.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to register for an event or create an organizer account.

Your content

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide — your name, contact details, and meeting preferences. Organizers are responsible for the events, descriptions, and participant lists they create.

No warranty

EventMatched is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the matching algorithm will produce any particular outcome, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any event run through it will go as planned.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merkenberg is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of EventMatched, or from anything that happens at an event organized through it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which, while EventMatched is free, is zero).

Ending use of the service

You can stop using EventMatched at any time. We may suspend or end an account that misuses the service, violates these terms, or puts other users at risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be handled by the competent Dutch court, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
